UFC Flyweight Allan Nascimento Dead At 34

Tom Rashid
UFC & MMA Lead Writer ·

UFC flyweight contender Allan Nascimento died at 34 after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep Monday morning.

The Brazilian grappler was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts from responding medical personnel, according to a statement the promotion released on social media. "Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Allan's family, friends, teammates, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time," UFC wrote.

Nascimento's Career and Training Background

Nascimento compiled a 22-7 record and showed promise as one of the division's most dangerous grapplers during his UFC tenure. He won four straight fights after dropping a close split decision in his promotional debut against Tagir Ulanbekov, earning two performance bonuses for submission finishes along the way. His UFC run was repeatedly disrupted by canceled bouts.

The Chute Boxe team member last competed against Mitch Raposo in a split-decision loss. He trained alongside former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira at the storied Brazilian gym.

No memorial service details have been announced.
