UFC Fighter's Brother Scores Brutal LFA Knockout
Alberth Bahamondes scored a brutal first-round knockout in his LFA debut Friday night, continuing the family legacy started by his UFC fighter brother Ignacio Bahamondes.
The 18-year-old prospect dropped Joey Hart with a perfectly timed overhand right in an exchange where both fighters were trading heavy shots. Hart had landed an overhand of his own moments earlier, but Bahamondes walked through it and jumped into a combination that ended the fight on the canvas. The referee waved it off after a few follow-up shots.
Bahamondes Now 8-1 With Three Straight Wins
MMA Fighting reports that Bahamondes has finished every opponent he has beaten and now sits at 8-1 in his young career. The Chilean prospect has won three straight fights, all by stoppage.
At just 18 years old with a finish rate that matches his brother's early career trajectory, Bahamondes may not be far from earning his own UFC contract. Ignacio Bahamondes currently competes at lightweight in the promotion.
LFA has not announced Alberth Bahamondes' next opponent or fight date.
