UFC Edmonton Adds Four Canadian Fighters To October Card

UFC Edmonton picked up four Canadian matchups on Monday, with Marc-Andre Barriault, Tanner Boser, Jamey-Lyn Horth and Melissa Croden all added to the Oct. 17 card at Rogers Place.

Barriault will meet Kyle Daukaus in a middleweight bout, per Sherdog. The Canadian has struggled lately, going 1-5 in his last six outings and riding a two-fight skid. Daukaus returned to the promotion last year after his 2022 release and stopped both opponents before losing to Bo Nickal by first-round finish at UFC Freedom 250 in June.

Boser Returns After Stoppage Loss

Boser draws Jhonata Diniz at heavyweight. The Calgary native fought out his contract in 2023, had one UAE Warriors appearance, then came back to UFC only to get stopped by Gokhan Saricam in April. Diniz sits 3-2 in the Octagon after earning his deal on Dana White's Contender Series.

Horth takes on Katlyn Cerminara at women's flyweight. Horth is 2-2 in her last four and lost to J.J. Aldrich most recently. Cerminara has dropped two straight and has not fought in over two years.

Croden faces Chelsea Chandler at women's bantamweight. Croden is 2-1 under the UFC banner and beat Darya Zheleznyakova in April. Chandler snapped a two-fight losing streak by submitting Priscila Cachoeira in her last outing.

Canada's Mike Malott headlines the card against Joaquin Buckley. Tickets go on sale Friday.
