UFC Baku results: Matches to make for Fiziev, Magomedov wins
Rafael Fiziev knocked out Manuel Torres with a spinning heel kick Saturday at UFC Baku, setting up a potential lightweight clash with Dan Hooker later this year.
Fiziev landed the highlight-reel finish in the main event at Baku Crystal Hall, per MMA Mania, while Shara Magomedov outpointed Michel Pereira over 15 minutes in the co-main. Asu Almabayev submitted Charles Johnson in the third round of their flyweight bout, as reported by Sherdog.
Fiziev eyes Top 10 slot with Hooker matchup
Fiziev could crack the lightweight Top 10 after his Torres knockout and lines up cleanly against Hooker, currently ranked No. 9. Hooker dropped his last two and would welcome a firefight with Fiziev. If that booking falls through, MMA Mania suggests matching Fiziev with the loser of the upcoming Benoit Saint Denis-Paddy Pimblett bout.
Magomedov improved to 6-1 under the UFC banner with his decision win over Pereira. A clash with Roman Dolidze makes sense next — Dolidze sits at No. 14 in the middleweight rankings despite a two-fight skid, and would test whether Magomedov belongs in the Top 15. Almabayev stretched his win streak to three and should face the winner of Lone'er Kavanagh and Brandon Royval at UFC 329, according to MMA Mania.
Ikram Aliskerov beat Brunno Ferreira by decision to run his Octagon record to 5-1. Abus Magomedov submitted Michał Oleksiejczuk in the first round on the same card, moving to 4-1 in his last five. Both middleweights are scratching toward the Top 15 — lock them in together. Matheus Camilo knocked out Nazim Sadykhov in 91 seconds and could step up against Grant Dawson, who just beat Mateusz Rębecki at UFC 328.
UFC Baku also saw hometown fighter Tahir Abdullayev stop Jefferson Nascimento at 4:28 of the third round in the early prelims. The card streams from Azerbaijan on June 27, 2026.
