Mansur Abdul-Malik headlines four additions to UFC 330 card
Rising middleweight Mansur Abdul-Malik will fight Dustin Stoltzfus at UFC 330 in Philadelphia, as the UFC announced four new matchups Friday for the Aug. 15 card headlined by Islam Makhachev's welterweight title defense against Ian Machado Garry.
Abdul-Malik, 9-1-1, looks to bounce back from his first career defeat when he meets veteran Stoltzfus, who brings a 16-8 record into the 185-pound contest. MMA Fighting first reported the additions to the card earlier this week.
Three veteran welterweights move up or seek momentum
Vicente Luque will chase a second straight win at middleweight when he faces Tresean Gore. Luque, a longtime welterweight contender at 24-12-1, has shifted his focus to the heavier division. Geoff Neal and Chidi Njokuani, two 170-pound veterans, square off in a striker's matchup — Neal stands 16-8, Njokuani 25-12 with one no contest.
A previously reported welterweight bout between Myktybek Orolbai and Jeremiah Wells also made the official lineup. Orolbai enters 16-2-1, Wells 13-4-1.
Makhachev chases a record 17th consecutive UFC victory when he defends his 170-pound belt for the first time against Garry. Strawweight champion Mackenzie Dern takes on Gillian Robertson in the co-main event, with Edson Barboza vs. Esteban Ribovics and Erin Blanchfield vs. Jasmine Jasudavicius also on the bill.
