Thibeault Dominates Robinson Despite Broken Nose
Robinson had no answer for Thibeault's superior boxing skills and physical advantages. The 28-year-old Australian fought hard but was outclassed by a younger, faster, and better-schooled opponent. Bad Left Hook noted that Robinson is "tough and good enough to be a middleweight champion when people like Thibeault or Claressa Shields aren't around."
The head clash left Thibeault bleeding heavily from her nose for much of the fight, but she maintained control throughout. Robinson, now 12-4, never found rhythm against the relentless Canadian.

Thibeault joins Claressa Shields among the rising stars in women's middleweight boxing. The question now is whether the 5-0 prospect is ready for a showdown with the undisputed champion, though that remains a massive step up at this stage of her career.
The co-main event saw Amanda Galle outwork Shurretta Metcalf over eight rounds, winning by scores of 78-74 and 80-72 twice. Galle's relentless pressure never allowed the 41-year-old Metcalf to settle into the fight. Krystal Rosado blanked Alondra Hernandez 80-72 on all three cards in the opening televised bout.
Cherneka Johnson defends her undisputed bantamweight championship against Dina Thorslund in the main event later tonight on ESPN from the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando.
