The finish earned him Performance of the Night honors and pushed his calendar-year award earnings to $300,000, per MMA Mania.

Salkilld has now stopped three consecutive opponents inside the opening frame this year, picking up a six-figure bonus each time. The lightweight contender needed less than five minutes to lock up the submission against Gamrot, who entered as the betting favorite.
