Sean Strickland threatens UFC 328 hotel confrontation with Chimaev
Sean Strickland posted on social media that he will confront Khamzat Chimaev in the UFC 328 fighter hotel lobby if he believes the promotion is treating their camps differently.
The former middleweight champion took to X to accuse the UFC of attempting to restrict his interactions with Chimaev ahead of their rumored matchup. "Listen I will say this now. I will not be controlled by a third world dog," Strickland wrote, according to Sherdog. "If I find there is unequal treatment between our camps I will walk to the lobby and wait for him."
Strickland's history of volatile pre-fight behavior
Strickland has repeatedly clashed with opponents and media members in the lead-up to his fights, making his latest threat unsurprising for UFC officials navigating fight week protocol. His willingness to bypass any restrictions the promotion might impose suggests potential security concerns at the fighter hotel.
Neither the UFC nor Chimaev's camp has responded to Strickland's post. UFC 328 takes place later this month, though no official announcement has confirmed Strickland versus Chimaev for the card.
