Soldic On UFC Pay Compared To One Championship

Roberto Soldic disclosed that his UFC compensation falls well below what he earned under his previous One Championship contract.

The Croatian welterweight, who signed with the UFC after his One Championship deal expired, told Ariel Helwani that the difference is significant. "No, not even close. But I'm happy," Soldic said, per Sherdog. He added that the UFC offer he received four years ago was actually superior to his current deal, but One Championship edged it out at the time with a slightly larger package and the promise of kickboxing and muay thai bouts.

Soldic's Road From KSW To UFC Via One Championship

Soldic built his reputation as a two-division champion in Poland's KSW promotion before signing with One Championship in 2022. He fought just three times under that 10-fight contract, compiling a 1-1 record with one no-contest before the deal ran its course. Despite the pay cut, Soldic said he views the UFC as the right home for this stage of his career.

The 29-year-old makes his octagon debut against Kalinn Williams in a middleweight bout at UFC 332 on Oct. 3 at Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Soldic enters with a 21-4 professional record. Williams brings a 16-5 mark into the matchup.
