Shaidullaev Signs Two-Year MVP Deal After Super Rizin Win

Undefeated featherweight Rajabali Shaidullaev has agreed to a two-year contract with Most Valuable Promotions beginning in January, according to Ariel Helwani.

The 25-year-old dual champion, who now holds both the Professional Fighters League and Rizin featherweight titles following his unanimous decision over A.J. McKee at Super Rizin 5 earlier this month, will join MVP after one final appearance for the Japanese promotion. Shaidullaev is scheduled to defend his Rizin belt against Kyoma Akimoto on the organization's traditional New Year's Eve card.

McKee Fight Ended Finishing Streak

The McKee bout marked the first time Shaidullaev had heard the final bell in his professional career. All 19 of his previous victories came by stoppage before he went the distance to claim the PFL strap.

"I'm told he has a two-year deal in place with PFL/MVP which commences in January. Done deal," Helwani posted on social media Wednesday. The MVP banner will replace PFL branding in 2027 following the completion of the promotions' merger.

Shaidullaev's January start date allows him to fulfill his remaining Rizin obligation without contractual overlap. The champion has fought exclusively for the Saitama-based promotion since turning professional, building his undefeated record across multiple organizations before capturing both titles.
