Alexandr Shabliy will return to the cage against Landry Ward at PFL Chicago on Oct. 16 at Wintrust Arena.
The Russian lightweight, who lost to Usman Nurmagomedov earlier this year, bounced back with a victory over Alfie Davis in June, according to Sherdog. Shabliy had been on a nine-fight win streak before falling short against Nurmagomedov, the promotion's most recent lightweight champion.

Shabliy Faces Rising Contender At Wintrust Arena
Shabliy carries a 25-4 record into the matchup and has suffered just one defeat since 2017. Ward enters off a split-decision win over Michael Boylan in his PFL debut on Aug. 7 and rides a three-fight winning streak.
The lightweight bout sits on a PFL Chicago card topped by the women's flyweight title rematch between Liz Carmouche and Jena Bishop. Denis Goltsov meets Maxwell Djantou Nana at heavyweight, while Sarvarjon Khamidov takes on Rafael do Nascimento at bantamweight.

The event airs on ESPN at 11 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 16.
