Quillan Salkilld will face Benoit Saint-Denis in the main event of UFC Sydney on Feb. 6, 2027, the promotion announced Monday on social media.

The five-round lightweight clash at Afterpay Arena marks UFC's return to Sydney for its first Fight Night card in the city since Fabricio Werdum beat Marcin Tybura in November 2017. The promotion's three most recent Sydney events were all numbered pay-per-views.

Salkilld carries a 13-1 record and a spotless 6-0 UFC mark into the bout, with five of those wins coming via first-round finish. The 26-year-old Australian, ranked sixth at lightweight, most recently strangled Mateusz Gamrot in the opening frame at UFC Vegas in August. After that win, he called for a showdown with Saint-Denis at Madison Square Garden — a request now granted on home soil.

Saint-Denis enters looking to rebound from a brutal setback at UFC 329, where Paddy Pimblett put him to sleep in 52 seconds. The French striker had won four straight before that loss, including a 17-second knockout of Beneil Dariush and stoppage victories over Dan Hooker, Mauricio Ruffy, and Kyle Prepolec.

A win over Saint-Denis could push the surging Salkilld within reach of a title shot. No other bouts have been announced for the card.
