Ryan Garcia says a unification fight with Teofimo Lopez would end one way: with Garcia handing Lopez the worst loss of his career.
Garcia told Fight Hype he has been chasing the matchup for years and believes he would shock observers with how easily he handles the WBC lightweight champion, per Bad Left Hook. Lopez stopped Rolly Romero earlier this month to claim the vacant title, setting up a potential showdown with Garcia, who holds the WBC welterweight strap.

Garcia Promises Dominant Performance Against Lopez
"They want us to make a unification. Like I said, I will beat the brakes out of Teofimo," Garcia said. "That's one of the fights that people think would be tough for me and then I make it look very easy. That one I've been wanting way before, long time ago. I really want that. I want to give him his final lesson. He always gets lessons learned, this will be the final lesson learned."
Garcia defends his welterweight title against Conor Benn on September 12. A unification with Lopez could follow if both champions win their next bouts.
