Ryan Gandra destroys Zach Reese in 75 seconds at UFC 329
Ryan Gandra needed just over a minute to finish Zach Reese at UFC 329 on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
The Brazilian middleweight jumped forward and connected with a left hook that dropped Reese to the canvas, per MMA Fighting. Gandra followed with more punches on the ground before referee Mike Beltran waved off the bout at the 75-second mark. As MMA Mania first reported, the finish came just as Joe Rogan was complimenting Reese's composure on the broadcast.
Gandra extends first-round knockout streak to four
The win moved Gandra to 2-0 inside the Octagon and pushed his overall record to 10-1 with nine straight victories. All four of his recent wins have ended in the opening round. Gandra earned his UFC contract via the Contender Series in 2025 with a first-round stoppage of Trent Miller.
Reese, a southpaw who attempted to use his length early, fell to 10-4 overall and 4-4 inside the UFC. The loss was his second in a row. MMA Fighting confirmed he had no time to recover before Gandra pounced with follow-up shots.
Gandra, 31, continues to show knockout power early in his UFC run. His next opponent and fight date have not been announced.
