Current boxing champions across all major organizations

Aaron Clarke
Lightweight & Featherweight Writer ·

ESPN maintains a rolling list of current boxing champions across all weight divisions, tracking the four major sanctioning organizations that govern the sport — the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO.

The tracker covers every recognized weight class from heavyweight down through the lighter divisions, logging who holds which belt in each organization. With four sanctioning bodies often crowning different champions at the same weight, the landscape of title-holders shifts constantly through unifications, vacancies, and mandatory defenses.

Why multiple champions exist at each weight class

Boxing's fragmented title structure means a single division can have four recognized champions at once. The WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO each operate independently, setting their own rankings and mandating their own challengers. A fighter becomes undisputed only by holding all four major belts simultaneously — a rare feat in the modern era.

ESPN updates the list as new champions are crowned and titles change hands. Fighters who unify two or more belts appear under multiple organizations until the next mandatory defense or vacancy forces a split.
