Ronda Rousey Predicted To Replace Dana White As UFC CEO

Former UFC television analyst Dan Hardy believes Ronda Rousey is the best candidate to replace Dana White as UFC CEO when the longtime executive steps away from mixed martial arts.

Hardy floated Rousey as White's eventual successor during a Submission Radio interview, per BJPenn.com, suggesting the UFC Hall of Famer could bring fresh energy to the promotion. White's focus on Zuffa Boxing in 2026, combined with what Hardy described as a less intense promotional approach for UFC events, has raised questions about his long-term commitment to MMA.

Hardy Questions White's Hunger For MMA Role

"I don't know whether he's lost a bit of the hunger for that because the promoting is not necessarily that difficult anymore," Hardy said of White's current standing. "I think he likes a challenge, and I don't think MMA is a challenge for him anymore. He's kind of conquered it, hasn't he?"

Hardy acknowledged White's achievements but argued the promotion could benefit from new leadership. "It just makes me think we need a fresh voice," he said. "I think maybe Dana's time in mixed martial arts has passed."

Rousey returned to competition earlier this year when she submitted Gina Carano in seconds, her first fight since losing to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207. Despite past criticism of the UFC's business practices and a reported falling out with UFC Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell, Rousey maintains a close relationship with White.

Hardy said he sensed Rousey has ambitions beyond fighting. "I was kind of getting the vibe that Ronda was going to be gunning for the UFC face job at some point in the future," he said. "So, we'll see how that plays out. I could see Ronda going for it."
