Alexis Rocha will meet Conah Walker in a December 5 welterweight clash in Wolverhampton after negotiations with former champion Brian Norman Jr fell through, according to Dan Rafael.

Walker has reeled off four straight wins since dropping three close decisions in a 3-3 skid. The Wolverhampton native stopped Lewis Ritson and Harry Scarff before dismantling unbeaten amateur standout Pat McCormack last December, per Bad Left Hook. He followed that with a rare stoppage of Sam Eggington in May, climbing to third in the WBA welterweight rankings.

What Rocha Brings After Ramirez Win

Rocha has gone 4-0-1 since his 2023 knockout loss to Giovani Santillan derailed his momentum. The only blemish in that stretch came against Raul Curiel in a draw many expected him to lose. He last fought earlier this month, outpointing a faded Jose Ramirez on all three cards in a competitive bout that looked closer in the ring than the scorecards suggested.

The matchup lacks the divisional stakes the Norman fight would have carried but sets up a potential slugfest between two action fighters. Walker holds the home advantage at 18-3-1 with nine knockouts, while Rocha brings 27-2-1 with 16 stoppages.

Neither camp has confirmed the bout officially. The December 5 card is expected to be announced in the coming days.
