Prochazka Returns Against Stirling At UFC Qatar

Jiri Prochazka returns to the Octagon against unbeaten Navajo Stirling in the main event of UFC Qatar on Nov. 21 at ABHA Arena in Doha.

The former heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight champion looks to rebound from his April loss to Carlos Ulberg, per Sherdog. Stirling brings an 11-0 record into the five-round bout after stopping Jan Blachowicz in the first round in August. The City Kickboxing prospect has won six straight UFC fights, three of them this year, and a victory over Prochazka would likely secure him a title shot while Ulberg recovers from the leg injury he suffered at UFC 327.

Sterling, Hooker Return On Stacked Card

Former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling faces Argentina's Kevin Vallejos in the co-main event as he pursues a featherweight title shot. Dan Hooker, coming off a loss at UFC Paris earlier this month, meets Brian Ortega in what BJPenn.com called Ortega's long-awaited lightweight debut. Ortega withdrew from UFC 331 one week before the Los Angeles card after suffering a cut above his eye.

The card also features pivotal flyweight matchups. Asu Almabayev meets Kyoji Horiguchi while Amir Albazi takes on Alessandro Costa. Aleksandre Topuria, brother of former two-division champion Ilia Topuria, returns against Santiago Luna. Jared Cannonier faces Ikram Aliskerov at middleweight.

Prochazka was briefly linked to Paulo Costa before negotiations broke down, according to BJPenn.com. A win over Stirling would move him closer to another title shot after recent championship losses to Alex Pereira and Ulberg.
