Till claims bare knuckle suits him after BKFC debut knockout

Tom Rashid
UFC & MMA Lead Writer ·

Darren Till says his first bare knuckle fight confirmed what he already knew about himself. The former UFC title challenger stopped his opponent at BKFC 90 in Birmingham and declared the format a natural fit.

“I was made for this [bare knuckle violence], I was made for it, I'm a Scouse hillbilly”

— Darren Till, via ESPN

What Darren Till said

Till left the UFC in 2023 after five straight defeats and signed with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. The Liverpool middleweight made his promotional debut on Saturday night. BKFC runs events without gloves, fighters wrapping only their knuckles and wrists.

What it moves

Till is expected to fight again later in 2025. BKFC has not announced his next opponent. The promotion holds events in the United States and United Kingdom. Till's knockout win puts him in the frame for a ranked middleweight opponent.
