Blachowicz-Guskov rematch booked for UFC Belgrade in August
Jan Blachowicz and Bogdan Guskov will meet again at UFC Belgrade on Aug. 1, the promotion announced recently, after their first fight ended in a majority draw last December at UFC 325.
The rematch was originally scheduled for UFC 328 in May, but Blachowicz pulled out with an injury, per Sherdog. The heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight bout will take place at Belgrade Arena in Serbia on a card headlined by welterweights Uros Medic and Daniel Rodriguez. The entire event streams on Paramount+.
Blachowicz's run against elite opposition
The former champion has gone 1-3-2 across his last six appearances, but that stretch includes losses to Carlos Ulberg, Alex Pereira, and Glover Teixeira, plus draws with Magomed Ankalaev and Guskov. The 43-year-old Pole has faced nothing but top-tier competition since October 2021.
Guskov arrived at their first meeting on a four-fight UFC finishing streak, stopping Zac Pauga, Ryan Spann, Billy Elekana, and Nikita Krylov in order. The 33-year-old from Uzbekistan has finished all 18 of his pro wins, none of which have gone the distance.
UFC Fight Night 283 airs Aug. 1 on Paramount+.
