Rolando Romero has praised Teofimo Lopez for agreeing to face him at lightweight. The former super-lightweight titlist said negotiations were tough but credited his opponent for taking the fight.

Lopez campaigns at super-lightweight but has fought at lightweight before. The pair have traded words on social media for months, and a deal now appears close.
