Foster tells Stevenson: I'll fight you at 135 or 140
O'Shaquie Foster has called out Shakur Stevenson again, offering to meet him at lightweight or junior welterweight. The former champion says he is still serious about making the fight happen.
“He was saying I ain't ready and all that. He knows this is why I came to his little man to show him I was serious about making a fight with him, and I'm still serious right now. I'll go to 140 or whatever he wants to do. He wants to meet at 135, let's do it.”

What O'Shaquie Foster said
Foster lost his WBC junior lightweight title to Robson Conceição in July 2024. Stevenson holds the WBC lightweight belt and has previously dismissed Foster as unprepared. Foster insists he fought Conceição to prove his commitment to landing the Stevenson bout.
What it moves
Foster's willingness to move weight classes puts the pressure on Stevenson to respond. If Stevenson declines, he risks accusations of avoiding a credible challenger. The lightweight champion has not publicly named his next opponent since his win over Joe Cordina in October.
