Jaron Ennis says his performance against Xander Zayas will prove he operates on a different plane to his welterweight rivals. The IBF champion believes the bout will highlight a gulf in ability.
“They gonna be like, 'Man, this kid is amazing,' We've never seen nothing like it. I feel like these guys can't do what I do and they don't carry it out how I carry it. And I'm a show the world there's like really levels.”

What Jaron Ennis said
Ennis meets Zayas in a welterweight showdown that pits the IBF titleholder against a rising contender. The Philadelphia fighter has made his mark at 147 pounds and now faces a test against an opponent eager to make a statement of his own.
What it moves
Ennis told Ring Magazine his approach sets him apart from the rest of the division. "They gonna be like, 'Man, this kid is amazing,' We've never seen nothing like it. I feel like these guys can't do what I do and they don't carry it out how I carry it. And I'm a show the world there's like really levels," Ennis said. Zayas will look to answer those claims when the pair meet.
