Parker's Positive Cocaine Test Blamed On Nutritionist

Former world heavyweight champion Joseph Parker's failed cocaine test was caused by his nutritionist, according to an investigation report released by UK Anti-Doping.

Parker, who held the WBO heavyweight title from 2016 to 2018, tested positive for traces of cocaine in a Ukad sample, the BBC first reported. The investigation determined the New Zealander's nutritionist was responsible for the banned substance entering his system.

Parker Cleared Of Intentional Doping

The finding effectively clears Parker of deliberately ingesting cocaine. UK Anti-Doping's report points to contamination from the nutritionist as the source of the positive result.

Parker has fought twice in 2025, stopping Zhilei Zhang in March before beating Derek Chisora on points in May. The former champion is currently ranked in the top ten by multiple sanctioning bodies as he pursues another world title shot.

No suspension or sanction has been announced following the investigation's conclusion. Parker's team has not yet commented publicly on the report.
