Ondash Brothers Chase Two ONE Titles Together
Two Lebanese brothers fight on the same card Friday night, each chasing a different ONE Championship title shot.
Ramadan Ondash meets Johan Ghazali in a flyweight Muay Thai co-main event at The Inner Circle 24 in Bangkok, while his older brother Abdallah seeks revenge against Chokpreecha PK TomTKalaiyont earlier on the card. The event streams live from Lumpinee Stadium on July 31.
Ondash Brothers' Unbeaten Streak Fighting Together
The brothers have competed on four ONE Championship cards together, and both won on every occasion. Their only promotional losses came on nights when the other was not fighting alongside him. "When I fight on the same card with my brother, we always win together. We have done it many times," Ramadan told BJPenn.com. "But when I fought Aliff alone, I lost. When we fight together, we win together."
Ramadan views a win over Ghazali as a step toward the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai title, while Abdallah believes avenging his lone ONE loss to Chokpreecha strengthens his case for a strawweight title shot. The brothers do not view their separate pursuits as a rivalry — whichever reaches gold first, both consider it a shared achievement.
Both Ramadan and Abdallah dream of opening a major Ondash Brothers gym inspired by Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket, using their profiles to develop young Lebanese fighters. "We both want the belt. It doesn't matter if I get it or he gets it. We are one," Ramadan said.
