Oliveira Pays Tribute After Nascimento's Death

Charles Oliveira posted an emotional tribute to Allan Nascimento after the flyweight contender died of a heart attack over the weekend in Brazil.

Nascimento, a 34-year-old member of the Chute Boxe team who went 4-2 in the UFC with wins over Cody Durden and Jake Hadley, was found unresponsive and pronounced dead, according to BJPenn.com. Oliveira, who cornered the grappler through multiple Octagon victories, called Nascimento a brother in an Instagram story posted hours after the UFC confirmed the news.

Oliveira's Message To His Fallen Teammate

"Today I lost a brother that fighting gave me. Thank you forever for sharing the mats, the training, and everything we've been through together," Oliveira wrote, per the report. "I have nothing but gratitude for having you by my side, brother—in training, in our corner, and in all the moments we shared. I love you, man. You were an incredible guy. I can't believe it. You will be missed a lot."

Nascimento last competed in the cage in June. The Chute Boxe standout leaves behind friends and family stunned by the sudden loss.

Oliveira is said to face Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 331 next month, though the promotion has not made a formal announcement. The BMF champion is expected to dedicate his next performance to Nascimento and his family.
