Conor McGregor is going under the knife to repair the torn ACL and meniscus he suffered at UFC 329 last month.

The former two-division UFC champion posted to social media Monday that he is headed for surgery, marking his fifth career operation, per MMA Mania. "What's up folks, it's 'The Mac.' Off to get surgery today," McGregor wrote. "Wish me well. I'm going to fuel up with a Mac Energy. Let's go. We got this."

McGregor's Comeback Ends After 69 Seconds

McGregor injured his knee during the first round of his welterweight rematch with Max Holloway in Las Vegas on July 11, unable to continue after just 69 seconds. The highly-anticipated return brought his first cage appearance in over a year to a brutal close. The injury is expected to sideline him for roughly 12 months.

The Irishman has one fight remaining on his current UFC contract, meaning he could test free agency for the first time in his career if he does not re-sign before his next bout.
