Nurmagomedov's Manager Predicts Topuria KO Loss
Usman Nurmagomedov's manager has predicted the unbeaten lightweight will stop Ilia Topuria inside four rounds if a potential UFC matchup materialises.
Ali Abdelaziz, who represents both Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje, posted the bold claim on social media after his client became a free agent. Nurmagomedov left the PFL as lightweight champion following a knockout defence against Archie Colgan at PFL New York, taking his record to 22-0.
Abdelaziz Backs Another Topuria Stoppage
Topuria suffered the first loss of his professional career when Gaethje stopped him at UFC Freedom 250, ending a run that had seen the Georgian capture UFC titles in two divisions. Abdelaziz referenced that result in making his forecast. "I told everyone before that Justin Gaethje would beat Ilia Topuria," he wrote on X, per Sherdog. "And I'm telling you today: Usman Nurmagomedov will stop Ilia Topuria within four rounds."
Dana White confirmed the UFC's interest in signing the 28-year-old Dagestani fighter following UFC Belgrade. Whether Nurmagomedov leaves the PFL remains unclear amid the promotion's merger with Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions.
The lightweight division could feature the potential clash later this year if contract negotiations progress.
