Diyar Nurgozhay stopped Bruno Lopes with one second left in the first round at UFC Vegas 120 on Saturday night.

Lopes went into survival mode along the fence, where Nurgozhay landed an uppercut followed by a body shot and left hook upstairs to force the stoppage.

The fight took place at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas. Both strikers entered with knockout records outside the UFC, and Nurgozhay delivered on that reputation when it counted. Lopes scrambled after the initial left hand landed but could not recover before the follow-up barrage arrived.
