Lorawnt-T Nelson will defend his BKB middleweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super middleweight world title against David Winiarski on Dec. 19 at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. Bare Knuckle Boxing announced the championship doubleheader Thursday, per Sherdog.
Nelson brings a seven-fight winning streak into the bout, with six of those victories ending inside the distance. The two-division champion most recently finished Serob Minasyan in the fourth round at BKB 56 in Los Angeles this past July. His record stands at 10-1-1 with nine knockouts.
Winiarski Earned Shot With First-Round Stoppage
Winiarski punched his ticket to the title fight by knocking out Geraint Goodridge in the opening round of a championship eliminator at BKB 60 in Newcastle, England, earlier this month. The challenger holds a 5-1 record with four knockouts and enters his first world title opportunity.
In the co-main event, featherweight champion Yampier Ramirez will make his first title defense against unbeaten Jorge Martinez. Ramirez captured the belt in March and has stopped all five of his bare-knuckle opponents. Martinez carries a perfect 2-0 record into his third professional bare-knuckle bout, having finished both previous opponents.
Additional matchups and ticket details for BKB 63 are expected to be announced soon.
