MVP guarantees $40,000 purse for all fighters on Netflix card

MVP CEO Nakisa Bidarian announced that every fighter competing on the promotion's upcoming Netflix card will receive a guaranteed purse of $40,000, with no show-win split attached to the pay structure.

Bidarian confirmed the flat-rate minimum applies across the board for the April event headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano, according to Sherdog. "That's all guaranteed, and then every fighter has a performance bonus in addition to that, which there are different levels depending on the…" he said in a statement posted to social media.

MVP payment structure differs from UFC model

The announcement marks a departure from the UFC's standard pay model, where fighters typically earn one amount to show and a matching win bonus if they get their hand raised. MVP's approach eliminates that variable, ensuring competitors walk away with the base figure regardless of the result.

Performance bonuses remain in play on top of the guaranteed $40,000, though Bidarian did not specify the tiers or amounts tied to different levels of achievement. The Netflix card is scheduled for April, with Jon Jones and Cain Velasquez expected to appear in guest roles.
