MVP guarantees $40,000 minimum purse for Netflix card fighters

MVP CEO Nakisa Bidarian confirmed that every fighter on the promotion's upcoming Netflix card will earn a minimum of $40,000 guaranteed, with no show-win split in place.

The announcement marks a departure from standard MMA pay structures, which typically divide purses into separate amounts for showing up and winning. Bidarian disclosed the compensation details in a social media post, according to Sherdog, adding that performance bonuses will be available on top of the base guarantee.

How MVP's Netflix card pay structure differs from UFC

"That's all guaranteed, and then every fighter has a performance bonus in addition to that, which there are different levels depending on the..." Bidarian wrote in the post.

The Netflix event, headlined by Ronda Rousey versus Gina Carano, has already drawn attention for its high-profile matchup and roster. MVP has positioned the card as a challenge to established promotions on fighter compensation, offering a flat guarantee regardless of outcome rather than the traditional incentive structure that pays less for losses.

The event streams on Netflix with a date to be confirmed.
