UFC referee Dan Miragliotta faces mounting criticism after a controversial standup during the Renato Moicano versus Tom Nolan lightweight main event at UFC Vegas 123 cost Moicano position and arguably the fight.

Moicano controlled Nolan on the ground before Miragliotta reset the fighters, according to MMA Fighting. Nolan finished "Money" one round later. The Nevada Athletic Commission has yet to comment on the sequence.

In other developments, Jake Paul secured Cedric Doumbe as his Christmas Eve opponent. Joaquin Buckley called out Dustin Poirier and Sean Strickland among others. Raul Rosas Jr. submitted Colby Covington at Hype Italy.

Dana White offered recent comments on Islam Makhachev's standing. UFC Vegas 124 takes place Saturday.
