Mike Perry And Dillon Danis Set For Welterweight Clash
Mike Perry and Dillon Danis are locked in to clash in a welterweight MMA bout on August 29.
The matchup will serve as the headline attraction for the launch of Duel Arena 1 at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida.
Rather than taking place inside a traditional cage, this main event showdown will unfold inside a boxing ring. Both fighters step into Orlando with distinct trajectories and stylistic advantages:
Perry enters with serious momentum after a perfect 6-0 run in bare-knuckle boxing. Re-establishing his MMA credentials back in May, Perry delivered a brutal performance against Nate Diaz, forcing a second-round corner stoppage on the Netflix-streamed Rousey vs. Carano card.
Danis last competed in MMA last August, making quick work of Warren Spencer with a 15-second submission to claim the Misfits heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight belt. He has since stayed active in high-level grappling showcases, including bouts against Colby Covington and Khamzat Chimaev.
With years of personal insult trading and fan anticipation behind them, August 29 offers both men the ultimate stage to finally settle the score.
