McGregor Predicts Danis Submits Perry In Under Two Minutes
Conor McGregor expects teammate Dillon Danis to finish Mike Perry quickly when they meet in an MMA bout at Duel Arena 1 this Saturday in Florida.
Danis revealed McGregor's prediction during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show. "His prediction is an easy submission in under two minutes," Danis said, per BJPenn.com. "He thinks Mike is too forward in his aggression."
What McGregor's Prediction Means For Perry-Danis
The fight pits two combat sports crossover stars against each other. Perry recently stopped Nate Diaz at the Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano event and has become the face of Bare Knuckle FC. Danis won the Misfits inaugural MMA title over Warren Spencer last year after competing primarily in boxing and grappling bouts.
McGregor's assessment focuses on Perry's pressure-heavy style creating submission openings. Danis acknowledged his teammate's reasoning but stayed tight-lipped about specifics. "I can't give away too much of our game plan," he told Helwani.
The former training partners have maintained their relationship despite McGregor recovering from the knee injury suffered at UFC 329. Danis said he avoided pressing his teammate on fight preparation given the difficulty of the injury.
Perry's stoppage of McGregor's two-time opponent Diaz earlier this year marked his return to MMA after establishing himself in bare-knuckle boxing. Saturday's matchup at Duel Arena 1 headlines a card featuring multiple combat sports disciplines.
