Makhachev Reveals Zuffa Boxing Offer From Alalshikh

Islam Makhachev has revealed he has received a boxing offer from Turki Alalshikh's Zuffa Boxing.

The UFC's top pound-for-pound fighter disclosed the approach after attending a recent Zuffa Boxing event, where the Saudi promoter made his interest clear.

"We had good talks about a boxing match in Zuffa Boxing with Turki Alalshikh. I don't know if it's a secret or not, but he said 'When you're ready for boxing, just let me know, and we'll do something.' Why not? Box with some other fighters, why not? Turki has asked me a few times, and I've just told him to ask Dana. I'm ready, any time,” Makhachev said

UFC fighters are currently prohibited from competing in Zuffa Boxing, making Makhachev's crossover ambitions dependent on a policy shift from Dana White. Makhachev defends his welterweight title against Ian Machado Garry (17-1) in the UFC 330 main event later this month, returning to the cage after defeating Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322 last year.

With Ilia Topuria's recent loss to Justin Gaethje opening the gap at the top of the pound-for-pound rankings, a dominant win over Garry would cement his position further.
