First things first. Lopez challenges Rolando Romero for the WBA welterweight title on August 22nd, with the September 12th Garcia-Benn card also catching his attention as a division-shaping event. Haney, meanwhile, continues building his own position at the top of the division.
Lopez is convinced he will be a better fighter by the time the two meet — including a solution to Haney's movement and back-foot style that has given others problems.

If both men keep winning, Lopez believes the meeting is inevitable — and that when it comes, it will be one of the biggest fights the welterweight division has ever seen.
