Lil Wayne To Present BMF Belt – Fans React

Fans have reacted to the news that rapper Lil Wayne will present the winner of Max Holloway vs. Dustin Poirier with the BMF Belt.

The pair face off this weekend, as Dustin has his final fight, hoping to win Holloway’s BMF title. They have faced off twice previously, with Poirier winning on both occasions. Dustin fights in his hometown of Louisiana, as he aims to retire with a belt. Dustin has fallen short in title fights before, losing lightweight title match-ups against Charles Oliveira, Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov. Poirier also missed out on the BMF Belt after Justin Gaethje stopped him. The Diamond is now making sure he leaves everything in the Octagon, as he will walk out with the rapper, who will give the winner the belt, as Max agreed.

"Let Weezy do it," Poirier

"I’m not going to disagree with that," Holloway

There has been a long history of big names handing out the BMF belt to the winners. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson did so when Jorge Masvidal beat Nate Diaz at UFC 244 in 2019, as the belt was handed out for the first time. Masvidal would later hand out the belt, while Mark Coleman had also done the same. With everything on the line, fans had plenty to say.
