Kell Brook Wants The Winner Of Chris Eubank Jr Vs.Liam Smith

Kell Brook has revealed that he is targeting the winner of Chris Eubank Jr. and Liam Smith. 

Brook has been away from the sport ever since his stoppage-win over Amir Khan. While that may have been the case, ‘Special K’ has been linked with a comeback.

Brook was initially linked with fighting Conor Benn, despite the latter having failed two drug tests for Clomiphene.

But until Benn overcomes his legal troubles, that being the current UKAD investigation, the chances of a fight are unlikely.

Not only that, but Brook had raised concerns over his mental health after a video was leaked which suggested that he was snorting cocaine.

In the aftermath, Brook spoke extensively over his regret at what had happened. Thereafter, Brook admitted he was struggling with his mental health. 

"I messed up, I hold my hands up & want to apologise to my family, gym, friends & fans. It’s no secret that I struggle with mental health & I’m finding retirement really hard. I’m actively seeking the help I need to get me on the right path. Again i apologise for the hurt I’ve caused," Brook

But if Brook can overcome those struggles, then the winner of Eubank Jr. vs. Smith could fight the former world champion.

Eubank Jr. will be looking to bounce back after suffering from a fourth-round TKO in their first meeting.

Meanwhile, Smith will aim to win once again to show that the first victory was not an isolated incident.

After all, there were question marks over Eubank Jr. ‘s mentality given that he had been cutting weight for a 157-catchweight fight before this for Benn, which was a career low. 

However, provided that the fight goes ahead as expected on September 2nd, 2023, Brook wants the winner. 

"It’s got to make sense in every, every avenue for me to actually step through those ropes again. On the British scene, for me, it’s the winner of Liam Smith and Chris Eubank Jr.

"I could get up for that fight, another big fight is Conor Benn but I’m not sure what’s happening with him with this verdict," Brook stated
