Manel Kape believes Joshua Van has exposed enough defensive weaknesses to be exploited when the two meet for the flyweight title at UFC 336.
Van proved his September rematch win over Alexandre Pantoja was no accident, following it with a stoppage of Tatsuro Taira to cement his status as the division's best. But Kape told MMA Junkie that Van's recent opponents fought with too much emotion and failed to capitalize on technical errors.

Kape Plans To Exploit Van's Holes At UFC 336
"I think Pantoja just fought too emotional, you know? He got too emotional in the fight, made a lot of mistakes," Kape said, per MMA Junkie. "But still a lot of mistakes there, still a lot of holes, and that's what I expect to explore."
The challenger added that Van thrives in firefights but insisted he would control the pace when they clash on Jan. 30. Kape also said opponents have yet to take advantage of Van's lapses in technique, and that his own experience edge would prove decisive.

Kape dismissed the notion that Van's championship status alone guarantees success, calling such thinking delusional confidence. He maintains he outclasses the titleholder in all areas.
UFC 336 takes place Jan. 30 with Van defending his flyweight belt against Kape in the main event.
