Ruotolo Faces Former Champion In ONE Return

Kade Ruotolo will face former ONE lightweight champion Ok Rae Yoon when he returns to the cage on Dec. 18 in Bangkok, Thailand, MMA Fighting reports.

The undefeated grappling champion, who holds ONE's submission grappling belt, has finished all four of his MMA appearances in Asia. The 23-year-old knocked out Hiroyuki Tetsuka in the second round of his most recent bout, adding his first stoppage by strikes to three prior submissions.

Yoon Seeks Redemption After Back-To-Back Losses

Yoon claimed the ONE lightweight title in 2021 with wins over Eddie Alvarez and Christian Lee, but the South Korean veteran enters the matchup on a two-fight skid. He dropped decisions to Alibeg Rasulov and Lucas Gabriel in his last two outings.

The bout will headline ONE Fight Night 50, which airs in U.S. primetime according to the promotion. Ruotolo carries a 100 percent finishing rate into his toughest test yet against an opponent with 17 wins across 24 professional MMA contests.
