Joshua vows to finish Fury when heavyweight clash happens

Aaron Clarke
Lightweight & Featherweight Writer ·

Anthony Joshua says he plans to stop Tyson Fury when the two British heavyweights finally share a ring.

Joshua told ESPN he wants to "try and end him" once the long-discussed all-UK clash materialises. The fight has been pursued for years but remains unsigned, with both men coming off recent defeats.

What Joshua said about facing Fury

The former two-time unified champion made clear his intentions go beyond simply winning on points. Joshua's statement signals an aggressive approach to a potential meeting with the former WBC titlist.

Fury lost his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in December, while Joshua was stopped by Daniel Dubois in September 2024. Both camps have suggested the matchup could happen in 2025, though no venue or date has been confirmed.
