Jon Jones bare knuckle event raided, Tate brothers arrested
U.S. Marshals arrested Andrew and Tristan Tate at a bare knuckle boxing event in Miami that the pair were set to co-host alongside former UFC champion Jon Jones, MMA Mania reports.
The controversial influencers were taken into custody on sealed warrants ahead of the IBA Bare Knuckle Boxing card. UK authorities are pursuing their extradition on multiple charges tied to rape and sexual assault allegations. The Tate brothers, who hold British and American citizenship, relocated to Florida last year after Romanian courts lifted their travel ban. Both men have maintained their innocence across ongoing investigations in Romania, the United Kingdom, and now the United States.
Jones bare knuckle promotion continues without Tate brothers
Jones has served as the American face of Russia's IBA Bare Knuckle Boxing since announcing his involvement earlier this year. The card was scheduled to proceed with Jones in attendance despite the arrests. Former UFC lightweight Slava Borshchev headlined the event against ex-BKFC champion Elvin Brito in his first outing since his UFC release.
The Tate brothers spent time in Romanian custody following human trafficking allegations before being allowed to leave the country. Their legal troubles have since expanded across three continents, with multiple investigations active in Europe and North America. The Miami event marked one of the first major bare knuckle cards promoted under the IBA banner in the United States.
