Jake Paul mocks UFC White House viewership, calls himself biggest MMA promoter

Jake Paul trolled the UFC after viewership numbers for last weekend's White House fight card were released, claiming his Most Valuable Promotions outfit now ranks as the sport's top promotional vehicle.

"As a boxing promoter it feels good waking up today being the biggest MMA promoter," Paul wrote on social media, per MMA Mania. The comment referenced UFC Freedom 250, which aired on Paramount+ from the South Lawn in Washington and drew 8.2 million viewers according to the network's official count.

Paul's jab centers on a comparison to MVP's Ronda Rousey versus Gina Carano card that streamed on Netflix earlier this year. Netflix commands roughly 325 million global subscribers compared to 79.6 million for Paramount+, which added UFC rights at the start of 2026. Whether MVP's event actually delivered more unique viewers remains unclear, as networks routinely massage demographic slices and replay counts to polish their top-line figures.

Nakisa Bidarian, Paul's business partner and a former UFC executive, offered a diplomatic take while still backing his promotion's showing. "Tremendous success for UFC 250, which is great for the continued growth of the sport, the fighters and the fans," Bidarian said. He added that UFC Freedom 250 had the advantage of the White House setting and President Trump's presence, calling the production "amazing" regardless of anyone's opinion on the location.

"For MVP MMA to be in the same ballpark of viewership for their biggest event ever is damn good," Bidarian continued, according to the report. "Don't care who was higher. Congrats to all." He acknowledged that UFC remains "by far the most dominant brand" in mixed martial arts.

The UFC has another high-profile Paramount+ card scheduled for late July when Conor McGregor returns at UFC 329 in Las Vegas. Paul and Bidarian, meanwhile, have no second MVP MMA event on the books and no broadcast partner lined up if they did.
