Irish Police Seek To Interview Conor McGregor
Irish police want to interview Conor McGregor as part of a perjury investigation tied to affidavits filed in his unsuccessful civil appeal last year, following the seizure of a mobile phone belonging to one of his associates.
Detectives from the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation have sought an interview since September 2025, with further contact made in June. McGregor's attorney, Ciaran Mulholland, said the 38-year-old is currently receiving medical care in California and remains willing to assist as a witness, either remotely or in person once cleared to travel.
The investigation centers on affidavits connected to McGregor's appeal of a November 2024 civil jury finding that he was liable for sexual assault stemming from a 2018 incident. McGregor withdrew his application to introduce new evidence shortly before the appeal hearing, which was ultimately dismissed in full.
