Inoue Ready To Face Fulton – ‘Fired Up'

Former bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue is feeling confident ahead of his clash with Stephen Fulton on July 25th, 2023.

Inoue moved up to super bantamweight to take on the undefeated Fulton, who holds the WBC and WBO belts.

Although he will be facing a hard hitter in the form of Fulton, the star admitted that the extra weight would be of help to him.

And in the process, he was looking to become undisputed at super bantamweight too. But in order to do so, Inoue will have to put his unbeaten record on the line, as one fighter will come out second best.

Inoue Ready To Face Fulton

Inoue’s Comments

"I have absolutely nothing to be anxious about. As the challenger for the first time in a while, I’m as fired up as I’ve ever been.

"My work is going well. I’m handling the preparations. I am thinking super bantam is the best weight for me," Inoue

And that has been reflected in the odds that have been given. Inoue is the favorite. Accordingly, Inoue’s odds of winning are currently at 3/10 (-330) a 73% chance of winning. On the other hand, Fulton is at 12/5 (+240), that being a 27% chance of him winning.

And this sentiment was reflected in some of the predictions that have been made.

Predictions

"I’m rocking with Inoue. He can punch, he is elusive. It’s hard to go to someone’s backyard and beat them, especially in a different country, so I’m rocking with Inoue," Antonio Zepeda (heavyweight)

"I’m going to ride with Fulton. I feel like he’s got the skill, I don’t know if he’s got the pop, but I feel like that little guy coming up in weight so he should have more pop for him, being the natural, bigger guy. He’s got the skill to do it," Avious Griffin (welterweight)

"This one is the best fight in the boxing right now. I think that it will be competitive fight and Inoue’s power will have an effect in the later rounds. I see Inoue winning via UD," Arijan Goricki (featherweight)
