Ilia Topuria documentary drops on Paramount+ before UFC White House
Paramount+ will premiere a documentary on UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria ahead of the promotion's first-ever White House event, according to Sherdog.
The streaming platform plans to release the film in the leadup to the UFC card scheduled to take place at the White House, though an exact release date has not been announced. The documentary will chronicle Topuria's rise to the featherweight title and his status as one of the sport's fastest-rising stars.
Topuria's rise from prospect to champion
Topuria captured the 145-pound belt by knocking out Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298 in February 2024, then defended it with a third-round stoppage of Max Holloway at UFC 308 in October. The Georgian-Spanish fighter remains unbeaten at 16-0 and has finished 13 of those wins inside the distance.
The UFC's White House card represents an unprecedented venue for the promotion, which has staged events everywhere from Abu Dhabi to the Apex facility in Las Vegas. No opponent or date for Topuria's next defence has been confirmed.
