Hrgovic Targets Sanchez For First Defense

IBF heavyweight champion Filip Hrgovic is working toward his first title defense against mandatory challenger Frank Sanchez in 2027.

Hrgovic became Croatia’s first heavyweight world champion in August, stopping unbeaten Moses Itauma to win the vacant IBF title. Sanchez is the leading candidate after stopping Richard Torrez Jr. in round two in May. The Cuban’s only loss came against Agit Kabayel in 2024.
