Luis Hernandez submitted Sedriques Dumas in under a minute at UFC Vegas 121, capping a two-day sprint from Dana White's Contender Series contract to first UFC victory.

Weight Difference Didn't Matter For Hernandez Finish
The Miami-Dade sheriff tipped the scales at 204 pounds Friday, seven pounds heavier than Dumas, who weighed 197, according to BJPenn.com's weigh-in coverage. Both men made the heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight limit, though the gap raised questions about how the size advantage would play out. Hernandez answered those inside a minute.
Hernandez earned his UFC contract less than two weeks ago and moved to 9-0 with all finishes in his pro career. Dumas dropped his fifth straight and remains winless in over two years.

Headliners Raul Rosas Jr. and Raoni Barcelos both made weight clean for their bantamweight main event. Rosas used the one-pound allowance at 136, while Barcelos hit 135 on the nose. The pair meet Saturday with Rosas chasing his sixth straight win and Barcelos riding a five-fight streak of his own.
