Hernandez Says Feds Asked If He'd Throw UFC Fight

Alexander Hernandez says federal investigators questioned him about whether he planned to throw his fight against Michael Johnson.

The lightweight told fans about the interrogation in remarks posted to social media, describing the agents' line of questioning as he recounted the episode. "They're like, 'Do you have any incriminating apps?' I'm like, 'I don't even know what an incriminating app would look," he said, according to footage shared on X.

What Led To The Federal Investigation

The bout with Johnson never happened. Hernandez was pulled from the card amid allegations he was involved in a scheme to manipulate the outcome, though no charges were filed against the fighter.

Sherdog reports that Hernandez shared the story as part of a broader conversation about his time in the UFC. He made light of the federal questioning, treating the moment as an odd chapter in his career rather than a serious threat.

Hernandez has not fought since his last UFC appearance. He remains unsigned to a major promotion and has not announced plans for a return bout.
